The new laboratory scanner from Amann Girrbach offers high precision with short scanning times and maximum versatility
The groundbreaking technology of the modular Ceramill Map FX laboratory scanner represents the perfect complement to the CAD/CAM system in the laboratory. The compact scanner from Amann Girrbach operates with high precision and repeatability while keeping scanning times short at the same time. To ensure safe and efficient processes, the Ceramill Map FX is fully in-tegrated into the digital workflow. Two comprehensive upgrade options allow the scanner to be expanded perfectly to meet the specific needs of the user. The new scanner will be available from mid-December.
The basic version of the Ceramill Map FX provides the user with the ideal scanner for entry-level digiti-zation at an attractive price/performance ratio. With its modular design, the system is absolutely fu-ture-proof and can be expanded and upgraded at any time. In addition to basic prosthetic and ortho-dontic indications, advanced scanning options are also included in the enhancements. All variants of-fer high precision with short scanning times. For example, the optional HD scan achieves an accuracy of up to 4 μm, and scanning options such as impression scanning or "multidie" offer maximum conven-ience. All common CAD/CAM systems can be connected via an open interface (.STL, .PLY).
Space-saving and can be combined with Artex articulators
The compact dimensions allow the scanner to be easily integrated into virtually any laboratory environ-ment, even where space is limited. "With the Ceramill Map FX, we have achieved an unbeatable com-bination of precision, economy and versatility: without a doubt, the scanner will convince laboratories and practice laboratories that appreciate efficiency and future-proofing," emphasizes Larissa Duarte, Product Manager for Lab CAD/CAM Equipment at Amann Girrbach, and adds: "The OneShot Scan can also be ideally combined with the popular Artex articulator system - for example, removing the ro-tation axis enables vestibular scanning of the articulator. Overall, handling is simple and intuitive. Ow-ing to the integration of the Ceramill Map FX into the digital workflow, high process reliability as well as reproducible results are also ensured."
