Eaglesoft Celebrates 21st Birthday in Las Vegas

Posted on Wednesday, September 30, 2015

ST. PAUL, Minn. (September 28, 2015) – Eaglesoft Practice Management System celebrated its 21st birthday by showing users how to find, implement and measure success in their practices. At a celebration held in conjunction with the CEREC 30th Anniversary Celebration on September 17 – 19 in Las Vegas, event attendees met with Eaglesoft experts and participated in training sessions focused on how to create a more successful and profitable practice.

Attending Eaglesoft users were given the opportunity to explore features of the system they may not yet be using in their practices, like Eaglesoft Mobile, which allows practices to access the software anywhere at anytime. Attendees took home over 10 hours of invaluable Eaglesoft specific training, along with instrumental advice on how to have an extraordinary practice and life – as both are possible with the right technology.

With plenty of networking opportunities, Eaglesoft users gathered to share stories and tell first-hand experiences about the ways Eaglesoft has helped their practices grow and succeed, along with many useful tips and tricks they’ve learned along the way for both using the software and managing their businesses. Best yet, attendees were some of the first to get a sneak peak of Eaglesoft 18 and the new features and benefits it has to offer.

“Our goal is to help dental practices find, implement and measure success, which is exactly what we were able to do at this event, and what we will continue to focus on for the next iteration of the software, Eaglesoft 18,” said Jana Berghoff, technology marketing manager of Patterson Dental. “We couldn’t have asked for a better way to celebrate Eaglesoft’s 21st birthday and we thank all of our attendees for joining in the celebration!”

Patel Serves as Keynote Speaker at Dental Tech Celebration

Posted on Wednesday, September 30, 2015

POWELL, OH--(Marketwired - September 29, 2015) - Dr. Neal Patel, a worldwide instructor in dental technology, was one of several A-list speakers who presented during a recent anniversary celebration for Sirona Dental, Inc.’s CEREC technology in Las Vegas.

CEREC technology, which allows dentists like Dr. Patel to design and place natural-looking and beautiful teeth in a day, was introduced 30 years ago.

"It is a prestigious honor to be asked to speak at this event, the largest dental conference in the world," said Dr. Patel, who operates Infinite Smiles. "I’m always excited to speak about a service that has helped millions of patients get the smile they deserve in just one day."

The CEREC celebration, held Sept. 17-19, included continuing education programs, scholarly reports and hands-on training for the 5,000 dental professionals in attendance. Dentists in attendance could earn up to 18 hours of continuing education and network with leading clinicians and dental product providers.

Dr. Patel is a premier dental instructor and served as the keynote speaker during a celebration that included appearances by NBA legend Magic Johnson and renowned motivational speaker Tony Robbins. The Grammy-winning band Train also performed.

Sirona Dental, Inc. is a pioneer in digital technology and has provided dental technology for more than 100 years. In addition to CEREC, the company develops panoramic X-ray machines, 3D scanners and digital intraoral cameras.

Dr. Patel said Sirona Dental provides dentists with digital tools that decrease treatment time while increasing procedure success rates.

"When we use the latest tools in dentistry and digital equipment, we benefit the patient because we give them beautiful and precise results," Dr. Patel said.

Infinite Smiles offers services in general dentistry, restorative dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, smile makeovers, full-mouth rehabilitations, immediate-load dental implants, same-day crowns, short-term orthodontics and noninvasive gum treatments.

Dr. Patel, who grew up in a family of physicians, combines his passion for medical science, visual arts and computer technology in his dentistry. He earned his bachelor’s degree in molecular genetics and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from The Ohio State University. Following dental school, Dr. Patel trained with the world’s leading dentists and instructors. He completed his prosthodontics fellowship at The Ohio State University by training with world-renowned prosthodontist Dr. Edwin McGlumphy and studied under Dr. Lorenzo Vanni, one of world’s foremost authorities on neuromuscular dentistry.

Before launching his own practice in 2008, Dr. Patel also worked to educate oral surgeons on 3D imaging and computer-assisted implant surgery. He continues to serves as an instructor and travels across the world to teach thousands of dentists every year in the latest dental technology.

At Infinite Smiles, Dr. Patel developed a system that uses CAD/CAM and cone beam computer tomography to map out dental procedures and give patients a virtual look at their new smile. When these technologies are used together, Dr. Patel can easily transfer the information to the patient, producing results within one tenth of a millimeter.

Infinite Smiles can provide patients with new, permanent teeth in just one day. Dr. Patel places the implants and completes the restoration in-house instead of having patients schedule multiple visits with various offices. The Powell dental office includes a state-of-the-art dental lab and a ceramist who is a certified Master of Dental Technology.

As an instructor in dental technology and best implant practices, Dr. Patel has been published and featured in several clinical articles, scholarly journals and news publications, including Forbes, Newsweek, The Wall Street Journal, The Journal of the American Dental Association, Dental Entrepreneur and Compendium of Continuing Education in Dentistry. From 2011 to 2015, Dr. Patel was voted Top Dentist by his peers and featured in Columbus Monthly Magazine. He received the Early Career Achievement Award from The Ohio State University Alumni Association and is the beauty expert for New Beauty Magazine.

Oral Health Care Tips for the Whole Family During National Dental Hygiene Month

Posted on Wednesday, September 30, 2015

HARRISBURG, Pa.Sept. 29, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- During National Dental Hygiene Month in October, United Concordia Dental reminds members of all ages to maintain a daily dental care regimen and visit the dentist regularly to prevent oral health problems.

"As our research has shown, a healthy mouth can contribute to improved overall health," said James Bramson, D.D.S., chief dental officer. "Everyone should brush and floss each day to prevent cavities. It's also important to visit your dentist regularly for checkups and cleanings so problems can be detected early and treated promptly."

It's not just mature adult teeth that need daily care. Parents should pay attention to their children's growing teeth and their infant's gums to avoid dental problems down the line. Avoid giving kids juice at bedtime, especially in sippy cups, because sugars can wreak havoc on teeth and gums as they sleep. For infants, dentists recommend wiping a baby's gums with a wet cloth after feedings and bringing them into the office for a visit as early as one year of age.

This month is a great time to get the whole family into a regular dental care regimen at home, including improved nutrition. Dr. Bramson recommends that patients monitor their sugar intake; not only for the overall health benefits, but for the toll it can take on your teeth.

"With sweet beverages like sodas, sugar mixes with bacteria in your mouth to produce acid, which can break down your tooth enamel. When you and your children enjoy the occasional sugary beverage, do so in moderation and be sure to brush right away to prevent permanent damage such as tooth decay," said Dr. Bramson.

To help children understand the importance of proper dental hygiene, United Concordia has a mobile app, Chomper Chums®, which teaches kids about proper brushing, flossing and rinsing techniques.

For more information about oral hygiene, visit United Concordia's Dental Health Center. You can download the Chomper Chums app through iTunes or Google Play.
