Tottenville High School celebrates the success of its new dental laboratory classroom as part of a skills training program. The high school's Dental Laboratory Technology program is a three-year program enabling students to develop techniques and skills in the Dental Laboratory Technology field beginning in Sophomore year. Tottenville's Dental Laboratory teaches high school students how to utilize the Dentsply Sirona inLab CAD/CAM Digital Dentistry Design and Milling Equipment, and also the Omnicam. The construction for the new updated Dental Lab project was completed in October 2022. The main goal of the project was to allow students to have their own high-tech workbench to complete their hands on projects.
The program's partnerships with NYC College of Technology and NYU College of Dentistry allow its students to continue into the dentistry field when they graduate from the Dental Laboratory Program at Tottenville High School.
