Prof. Dr. med. dent. Markus B. Blatz, DMD, PhD, is currently Professor of Restorative Dentistry, Chairman of the Department of Preventive and Restorative Science, and Assistant Dean for Digital Innovation and Professional Development at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he also founded the Penn Dental Medicine CAD/CAM Ceramic Center. In addition, he is board certified by the German Society for Prosthetic Dentistry and Biomaterials, co-founder and immediate past President of the International Academy for Adhesive Dentistry, a founding member of the European Academy of Digital Dentistry, and a member of numerous other professional organizations. A graduate of Albert-Ludwigs University in Freiburg, Germany, Blatz was awarded additional Doctorate Degrees, a Postgraduate Certificate in Prosthodontics, and a Professorship from the same University.
