The Mark Jackson Memorial Education Grant, offered through the Foundation for Dental Laboratory Technology, is being awarded in 2019 for the third year. This grant is offered in memory of Mark Jackson, RDT, former co-owner of Precisions Ceramics in Montclair, CA, and a friend and mentor to many. He was a champion of providing assistance to those in the profession who were running dental laboratories as a business, and the Foundation has stated that they are proud to recognize Mark in this manner and carry on his legacy.
This grant was created with the goal of making higher-level education more accessible to dental laboratory technicians. Those selected for this year's grant will receive the amount of $2500 to go toward expenses relating to an approved continuing education program. In order to be eligible, programs must be approved by NBC, ADA CERP, or AGD.
The application for the Mark Jackson Memorial Education Grant must be submitted by November 15th. For a full list of eligibility and application requirements or to apply online, visit dentallabfoundation.org/ scholarshipgrants/mark-jackson-grant. You can also download an application here.
