Dental 3D printing solutions provider Structo has announced the appointment of Doug Statham as their new Vice President of Global Sales. Doug brings with him almost 20 years of experience in the dental industry and a focus on digital dentistry that meshes perfectly with Structo’s.
Doug began his career in dental with a 7-year stint at Nobel Biocare. He then moved on to become Global Director of Business Development for Keystone Dental. He played an integral role at this Massachusetts-based company, increasing annual sales from zero to more than $50M, allowing Keystone to grow from 12 to 125 employees. During his 4-year tenure at a leading Germany-based 3D printing company, Doug managed a sales team covering the United States, Latin America, and Canada, as well as various reseller and distribution networks. His contribution led to a 250% sales growth over a period of 2 years, surpassing sales goals.
“When the Structo team invited me over to Singapore to visit their engineering and manufacturing facilities, I did not know what to expect initially,” said Doug. “After seeing it first hand, I was really impressed with what they’ve set up in terms of research & development and manufacturing processes. I was surprised at the level of resources Structo is pouring into developing new materials for new applications, and also at how much the team is investing in automation that will solve the industry's key pain points. I can’t wait to help bring these new products to market.”
Doug will be tasked with further expanding Structo’s reach, starting with North America. “With offices on both the East and West Coasts, Structo is well positioned to strategically expand its network throughout the entire continent. And I am excited to contribute towards that growth,” added Doug.
“Doug brings tremendous value to our organization,” said Huub van Esbroeck, Structo’s co-founder and CEO. “His past experiences with dental and particularly digital technology will help us deliver our dental industry-focused solutions to our customers throughout North America and later worldwide.”
“I am excited to join the young and fast-growing team at Structo, which has clearly been making waves in the dental 3D printing world in recent years,” added Doug. “As the only company to focus exclusively on the dental and orthodontic applications of 3D printing, I believe I’m joining a winning team that is going to be highly successful in the revolution that’s occurring in dentistry’s shift to full digital workflows.”
