DentalXChange Launches New Credentialing Solution In Partnership With Delta Dental Of Colorado

Posted on Thursday, September 14, 2017

DentalXChange, the creator of industry-leading electronic claims solution, ClaimConnect, has announced a new partnership with Delta Dental of Colorado through which the two companies will launch the first-ever co-branded edition of DentalXChanges popular DDS Enroll software.

The new offering will be the first in the nation to give Delta Dental providers the ability to complete credentialing requirements onlinenot only for Delta Dental of Colorado but for many different insurance companies, which will increase provider utilization, according to Dr. Cheryl A. Lerner, DMD, Vice President of Network and Clinical Management for Delta Dental of Colorado.

Credentialing is a major pain point for dentists and insurance companies alike,” says Dr. Lerner. “Providers must be re-credentialed every three years in order for claims to be processedWithout renewed credentials, providers can lose thousands of dollars each year in unpaid claims, while insurance companies exhaust hours and resources attempting to track down renewal applications.”

LeAnn Morris, Vice President of Business Development for DentalXChange, explains that the traditional credentialing process also lends itself to costly errors.

Currently, dental offices nationwide are sent credentialing renewal reminders via mail, which are easily overlooked,” says Morris. “Our partnership with Delta Dental of Colorado gives us the opportunity to address and rectify industry inefficiencies. With our new digital solution, providers will be able to access credentialing information online, input data digitally, upload supporting documents easily, indicate required fields and data requirements quickly, and securely sign forms electronically in order to reduce time and errors in the credentialing process.”

Morris reports that digital credentialing solutions have been attempted by others in the past, but the new DentalXChange co-branded DDS Enroll solution will be one of the first to offer a solution that is designed specifically for the dental industry that will support multi-carrier credentialing.

Many providers have contracts with up to 30 different payers,” Morris explains.  “In the past, these dental practices would have to spend countless hours fulfilling lengthy credentialing applications for each carrier individually. With our new software, providers will be able to enter their information and upload documents only once and that data will be applied across all applications, which saves time and money for a busy practice.”

The new co-branded DDS Enroll solution will also enable Delta Dental of Colorado to maintain its high standard of quality control, according to Dr. Lerner, who explains that the California-based DentalXChange team will follow up with providers individually as needed to assist with the online credentialing platform.

We knew from the beginning that we were seeking a partner who could deliver the same exceptional customer service that our company takes pride in,” says Dr. Lerner. “DentalXChanges industry-leading software solutions and customer-focused culture made them the perfect fit as our partner in this important project.”

DentalXChange will integrate a series of digital features into the new co-branded DDS Enroll platform, including:

Auto-Populating Fields

After forms are initially completed through DDS Enroll, the Question Wizard will save user information and autofill fields on any additional applications thereafter.

Document Repository

DentalXChange supports the ability to upload required documentation or certifications needed to submit or renew credentials.

E-Signature

Users will have the option to electronically sign credentialing applications.

Tracking Progress

Providers can view submitted credentialing applications and check the status of their credential

New York State Dental Association Endorses iCoreExchange HIPAA-Compliant Message Exchange

Posted on Thursday, September 14, 2017

iCoreConnect Inc. announces New York State Dental Association’s (NYSDA) selection of iCoreExchange as the preferred HIPAA-compliant email exchange for its members. iCoreExchange allows dental professionals to share Protected Health Information (PHI) at the highest level of security with anyone, regardless of whether they are inside or outside a network.

“We are excited to serve the 12,000 members that make up the NYSDA,” said iCoreConnect President and CEO Robert McDermott. “The Leadership and staff at NYSDA expertly guide their members through legislation, compliance and technology issues. Security and HIPAA compliance are two of the most important challenges facing their members today. iCoreExchange solves these issues, giving NYSDA members the freedom to communicate with one another or their patients in full HIPAA compliance.”

The New York State Dental Association represents member dentists throughout New York State. “Our members depend on us to find and select the highest quality products and services,” said Dr. Mark Feldman Executive Director. “We chose iCoreExchange – above all others – because of its security, absence of file size limits, and its integration with our members’ existing workflow. Additionally, iCoreExchange provides our members an instant connection to a large, referral base of established and verified providers.”

iCoreExchange was designed from the input of 2,000 dentists and doctors from around the U.S. The product is continually improved based on subscriber input and is updated to stay current with new laws and regulations. “The providers told us loud and clear what they wanted in a secure email exchange: communicate any information to anyone from anywhere, with full HIPAA compliance. So that’s what we built,” said McDermott. Providers can send electronic patient data, lab reports and X-rays securely with no limits on file size. “The software is cloud-based and can be accessed from any internet connection at any time. Providers are no longer limited by regional or state boundaries, because iCoreExchange allows them to send protected health data securely anywhere in the world.”

iCoreExchange was built on the federal government’s DIRECT security protocol and meets all five of the required HIPAA federal technical safeguards. “Simply encrypting email does not make it HIPAA compliant. Checking secure email software against the federal government’s five technical safeguards is one of the best ways to know it is indeed compliant,” said Dr. Craig Ratner, Chair, NYSDA IT Committee. “iCoreExchange was built from the ground up to meet all of these requirements.”

New York State Dental Association joins a growing list of state associations who have chosen iCoreExchange as their preferred HIPAA-compliant email vendor:

  • -Colorado Dental Association

  • -Florida Dental Association Crown Savings

  • -Georgia Dental Association

  • -Louisiana Dental Association

  • -New York State Dental Association

  • -Texas Dental Association Perks Program

  • -Virginia Dental Association

SciCan USA‘s New Training Facility Gets Real

Posted on Thursday, September 14, 2017

Unique space features not one but three, fully-functioning steri-centers and a dental unit.

Want to know how a full suite of SciCan products functions in a real steri-center? How about in three different configurations? After all the dust and disruption of the last few months, SciCan in Canonsburg, PA, has completed the remodeling of its training center. And it is truly a multi-faceted hands-on learning space. Sure, the contemporary furniture and the state-of-the-art presentation hardware is nice but what makes this place unique are its three, fully-functioning steri-centers and one dental unit.

Steri-centers from Planmeca, A-Dec, and Pelton & Crane line the perimeter and each is fitted with everything SciCan from STATIMs and BRAVOs to HYDRIMs (both large and small), VistaPure systems as well as STATClean ultrasonic and STATMATIC handpiece maintenance units.

“It’s designed to showcase the SPEC (Safe, Predictable, Efficient, Compliant) sterilization and instrument reprocessing framework, all SciCan products, and how the G4 networking technology connects to it,” says Product Manager Stacey Graf. Two 60-inch flat screens display G4 cycle data from all connected STATIM G4’s and HYDRIM G4’s. SciCan technicians receive instant and accurate communication from the connected equipment allowing for the equipment to be remotely supported.

Bringing learning as close to the real setting as possible will enable staff, sales representatives, technicians and dealers to better serve our users. Classes for 2017 will host approximately 200 trainees with 16 training classes scheduled.
