DATRON Opens Midwest Office

Posted on Wednesday, January 20, 2016

In response to a rapidly expanding customer base within the dental industry, DATRON Dynamics has opened a Midwest office in Livonia, Michigan to augment both its headquarters on the East Coast and its technology center on the West Coast.

Dental industry expert Ron Rosenthal has been tapped to manage this Midwest division and to support customers of DATRON CAD/CAM milling systems as well as their complete line of dental milling tools (burs). According to DATRON Dynamics Vice President Robert Murphy, “The DATRON product offering for the dental industry is very strong and we’ve established a substantial customer base that deserves top-notch support. Ron Rosenthal is an industry insider with two decades of experience and we’re pleased to have him running this division and applying his expertise to this important business segment.”

In addition to DATRON’s award-winning D5 dental mill, the company also has introduced a line of dental milling tools that are compatible with and/or designed for use with a wide range of popular CAD/CAM systems including Amann Girrbach, vhf, and Roland.

“Just like our German-engineered milling machines, these tools are manufactured to the highest standards using the finest grade of solid carbide and produced with state-of-the-art equipment to ensure quality and durability,” Rosenthal says. “The bottom line is that these tools allow customers to get the best possible performance out of their CAD/CAM system.”

As Division Manager, Rosenthal will leverage his experience for the successful training and support of dental CAD/CAM customers as well as consulting dental laboratories and milling centers on the best tooling for their applications. Prior to his tenure at DATRON, Rosenthal was a clinical faculty instructor in CAD/CAM at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine. For 11 years before serving as an educator, Rosenthal owned and operated Next Generation Dental Studio, Ltd., in Charlotte, North Carolina, specializing in esthetics, CAD/CAM restorative dentistry, and implantology. Rosenthal graduated with honors from Michigan’s Ferris State University program for Dental Technology. Later he earned a CDT in Ceramics, and he is a Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Studies alumni and an AACD member. Rosenthal has applied his knowledge of occlusion, function, and esthetics in the fine art of dental technology for more than 20 years.
