Aventura, FL: August 16, 2012 -Unidental Direct, LLC, a leader in value-priced implant systems, recently held a week-long course on dental implants. It took place July 23-28 in Mexico City and was attended by dental professionals from the United States, Mexico, India, Peru, and New Zealand.

The intensive course program included topics such as the history and development of implants, theory on the use of dental implants, types of implants, implant techniques, and osseointegration. A working operatory was used for surgical planning and evaluations of live patients. Attendees rotated within the operatory, playing different roles such as dental assistant, secondary surgeon, and finally, primary surgeon, responsible for drilling and placing the implants. The lecture rooms were equipped with CCTV so attendees outside the operatory could follow the procedures while they were being performed.

Said one attendee, Dr. Regan Carroll of Houston, Texas, “It has been a rewarding experience for me…It was my opportunity to do the surgical procedure to place the implant…We had thorough instruction both inside and outside of the operatory.”
