San Francisco — ADA’s Give Kids A Smile program in San Francisco, which preceded the ADA Annual Session this week, served approximately 2,000 children, providing oral health screenings, education, and treatment. During the 3-day event, around 150 dentists, hygienists, dental students, dental staffs, and others volunteered their services.
The screenings were a collaboration between the ADA; Colgate’s Bright Smiles, Bright Futures; the National Children’s Oral Health Foundation; Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit company behind Sesame Street; the San Francisco Department of Public Health; and the San Francisco Dental Society.
