Cardinal Orthodontics has announced the addition of renowned orthodontist, Dr. Brent Bowen, as lead provider for the practice, now serving patients in the St. Louis area at clinics in Rock Hill and Ballwin, Missouri. Dr. Bowen brings more than two decades of combined dentistry and orthodontic expertise to the role.

Before joining Cardinal Orthodontics this past July, Dr. Bowen served patients at Rolla, Missouri-based Bowen Orthodontics, which he founded in 2015. Dr. Bowen practiced general dentistry at his own private practice for 10 years in Asheville, North Carolina, prior to earning his master’s degree in orthodontics.

“As orthodontists, we get to change lives by transforming smiles, and that is incredibly gratifying to me,” Dr. Bowen said. “I am thrilled to take the helm at Cardinal Orthodontics and serve individuals in and around the communities of Rock Hill and Ballwin.”

A native of Orlando, Florida, Dr. Bowen received his undergraduate degree from the University of Central Florida, graduating magna cum laude. His pursuit of excellence in dentistry led him to the University of Alabama School of Dentistry in Birmingham, Alabama, where he was awarded a prestigious Health Profession Scholarship from the U.S. Army. Dr. Bowen served as a dental officer in the Army, before opening his private dental practice in 2003. In 2012 Dr. Bowen sold his dental practice and went back to residency, and in 2014 he earned a master’s degree in orthodontics with a certificate in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics from Seton Hill University in Greensburg, Pennsylvania.
