3D printing leader Desktop Metal’s healthcare division that is based in LA, Desktop Health, announced It has expanded its portfolio for dentistry, launching chrome cobalt for use in dental applications.

By using the Shop System, now available for preorder by dental laboratories, dental laboratories are able to eliminate labor costs and cut production times. Other key benefits include:

  • Easy to use and operate. The easy-to-use software-generated hand-removable sintering setters eliminate the need for costly and labor-intensive post-processing steps.

  •

  • High productivity and superior print quality. Produces high-quality end-use metal parts at up to 10 times the speed and at a fraction of the cost of legacy additive manufacturing technologies.

  •

  • Rich feature detail with exceptional surface finish. Delivers 400 percent higher resolution than legacy binder jetting systems and 25 percent higher redundancy than comparable binder jetting systems.
