Hager Worldwide, the specialty dental product company, has announced the launch of their new website. With about 1,000 active SKUs, Hager offers products across a multitude of categories including infection control, hygiene, evacuation, implantology and ergonomics.
So when designing and planning out their new website, Hager knew it would be important to make it as easy to navigate as possible.
“We realized users were mainly coming to our site to find specific product information, and not just to browse” says Patrick Rouillard, marketing manager for Hager. “So we put emphasis on features like a robust search functionality and easily accessible resource center”.
Robust Search Functionality
Given Hager’s wide range of products, they wanted to make it easy for users to find exactly what they’re looking for as soon as they arrive on the site. To accomplish this, the main search bar sits front and center on the home page and can find products by Hager item #, product name, or even just a keyword.
According to Jim Ortmann, Hager’s national sales manager “It was important for us to not only design a strong search engine within the site, but also one that yielded clean and orderly search results. And I think we accomplished that”.
Accessible Product Content
Users of Hager’s new website will also be able to enjoy having all existing content for products together in one area. For example, any applicable images, descriptions, videos, SDSs, brochures, studies, usage instructions and testimonials will be available for viewing and/or downloading from the product page.
“We wanted to make sure users didn’t have to bounce around different parts of the site to find available pieces of product content, says Rouillard. “Now everything is at their fingertips in one area”.
