The National Association of Dental Laboratories (NADL) issued a news alert regarding proposed tariffs on imported dental laboratory restorations.
The Office of the US Trade Representative (USTR) has proposed imposing an additional duty or 25% on a list of products from China, including dentures, crowns, abutments, implants, fixed bridges, temporary inlays, onlays, and veneers. The duty is levied at the time of import and is paid by the importer of record.
If the tariff goes into effect, the NADL says it likely would not be until mid-June or early July. The NADL's Board of Directors plans to meet later this month to discuss the issue.
