Jacksonville, Fla., June 22, 2017 - At its Annual Conference June 14-19, the American Dental Hygienists’ Association (ADHA) recognized graduate-level dental hygiene students for original research in their field of study. Eleven graduate students presented their work at Jacksonville’s Prime Osborn Convention Center.
The Dentsply Sirona/ADHA Graduate Student Clinicians Research Award Program is sponsored by Dentsply Sirona. Chosen by their program director, student participants receive professional recognition and complimentary registration to ADHA’s annual conference, air travel, lodging and per diem for the conference. In addition, the first-place winner receives a $1,000 cash prize and travel expenses to attend the AADR/Canadian Association for Dental Research (CADR) meeting, scheduled for March 21-24, 2018 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. During the AADR/CADR meeting, the winning student will present his or her winning research presentation on a non-competitive basis along with international winners throughout the world.
This year’s winners of the 9th Annual ADHA/Dentsply Sirona Student Research Clinicians Program are:
1st place – Kathryn Search, RDH, BSDH, MS - Old Dominion University
2nd place – Mindy Bennett RDH, BS - University of Missouri - Kansas City
3rd place – Brandie Carter, RDH, BS – University of North Carolina
