Inaugural Issue of JDR Clinical & Translational Research Published

Posted on Wednesday, March 16, 2016

Alexandria, Va., USA – The International and American Associations for Dental Research (IADR/AADR) have just released the inaugural issue of the JDR Clinical & Translational Research, which is a peer-reviewed journal dedicated to publishing original dental, oral and craniofacial research at the interface between discovery science and clinical application. Under the editorship of Jocelyne Feine, McGill University Faculty of Dentistry, Montréal, QC, Canada, this new publication emphasizes translation of research into healthcare delivery systems at the individual patient, clinical practice, and community levels.

JDR Clinical & Translational Research is designed to allow space for the publication of reports that use high quality but less familiar methodologies, such as health technology assessment reports, participatory methodologies, qualitative research, and multimethod approaches. Invited reports, such as the perspectives narrative section and special communications, will offer readers the opportunity to hear from those with different experiences and viewpoints. Finally, reports from high quality consensus meetings will also be considered for publication in the journal.

“This inaugural issue offers evidence on a variety of topics of interest to the community,” said Editor Jocelyne Feine. “We hope that IADR/AADR members’ participation through comments, submissions and reviews will help JDR Clinical & Translational Research become a unique and effective platform for the rapid dissemination and subsequent application of relevant and timely information in applied oral health research.”

The JDR Clinical & Translational Research is available online at jdrctr.sagepub.com.
