BOSTON, Oct. 21, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Beginning today, from October 21-23, the DentaQuest Foundation will host its third annual Oral Health 2020 National Network Gathering in New Orleans, Louisiana. The theme of this year's convening is "Progress, Possibility and Power," and promises to be the foundation's largest gathering ever with 250 people, from all 50 states, in attendance.
The three day event will generate discussion surrounding Oral Health 2020 strategy development and network alignment, while offering an environment for attendees to exchange ideas, best practices and challenges on a breadth of topics. The annual gathering provides an opportunity for the network to meet face-to-face, connect with new partners, challenge one another and track against the six Oral Health 2020 goals to improve lifelong oral health and eradicate dental disease in children.
"Change happens when people work collectively on ideas, share ownership for making a difference in the world and celebrate their achievements toward specific goals," said DentaQuest Foundation President Ralph Fuccillo. "The Oral Health 2020 goals represent critical milestones in the journey toward oral health equity. We are grateful for the opportunity to bring together so many leaders as they deepen their commitment to oral health for all."
DentaQuest Foundation grantees, partners and friends will also welcome Paul Schmitz, CEO of Leading Inside Out; and Dr. CamaraJones, Senior Fellow at the Satcher Health Leadership Institute, Morehouse School of Medicine, and President-Elect of the American Public Health Association, as keynote speakers presenting on collective impact and network leadership, and social determinants of health and equity, respectively.
