MELVILLE, N.Y., October 14, 2015 - Henry Schein, Inc. (NASDAQ: HSIC), the world's largest provider of health care products and services to office-based dental, animal health and medical practitioners, held a full day dental education program focused on digital dental technologies at the 2015 China Dental Show in Shanghai. The exclusive education program, endorsed and supported by the Chinese Stomalogical Association (CSA), took place on September 24, 2015 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center.
Dental practitioners attended the event to learn how digital intraoral scanning, milling and state-of-the-art digital ceramic materials are used in dental practices around the world. Attendees also viewed demonstrations of leading dental solutions by 3Shape, based in Copenhagen, Denmark, Roland DG based in Hamamatsu, Japan, and Upcera, based in Shenzhen, China.

Han Liang, Vice Secretary General of CSA, and representatives from Henry Schein, including Jane Shen, Henry Schein Consultant and Andrea Albertini, Vice President, European Dental – Southern Region, China and International Dental Equipment, welcomed attendees.
Guest speakers at the education event included Roman M. Cibirka, DDS, MS, a prosthodontist and internationally recognized lecturer on educational innovation, technology, virtual simulation and prosthodontics; Dr. Marcus Abboud, the Founding Chair of the Department of Prosthodontics and Digital Technology at Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine, who has lectured extensively on digital dentistry and CAD/CAM technology; and Dr. Robert Gottlander, Vice President of Global Prosthetic Solutions at Henry Schein.
