Composi-Tight® 3D Fusion™ Firm matrix bands launched by Garrison Dental Solutions

Posted on Tuesday, September 3, 2019

Garrison Dental Solutions, the premier manufacturer of sectional matrix systems since 1997, is pleased to announce the newest addition to the much-loved Composi-Tight® 3D Fusion™ Sectional Matrix System, Fusion Firm matrix bands with eZ-Place™ technology.

“Typical dead-soft sectional matrix bands are very easy to deform during placement on posterior Class II composite restorations. The eZ-Place™ technology used for Fusion Firm bands incorporates specially processed stainless steel and a proprietary matrix forming process to produce sectional matrix bands that resist deformation nearly 70% better than typical bands.” according to Garrison’s Director of Marketing, Jason Phillips.

eZ-Place™ allows Fusion firm bands to maintain a super-thin 0.0015” thinness and a pre-contoured shape to ensure the excellent tight interproximal contacts and ideal anatomy the Composi-Tight® 3D Fusion™ system is famous for. Fusion Firm bands can be placed in situations that are not possible with other bands. Conservative preps with remaining contact, snags on preparation margins and other challenges will not distort them. They are an excellent choice for first time sectional matrix system users and veterans alike.

Composi-Tight® 3D Fusion™ Firm matrix bands are available in assorted kits, individual refill packs and selected sectional matrix system kits direct from Garrison Dental Solutions. Call 888-437-0032 or visit garrisondental.com for more information.

Seamlessly Replacing a Missing Tooth in the Esthetic Zone: Accreditation Case Type III, with Elizabeth M. Bakeman, DDS, FAACD

Posted on Tuesday, September 3, 2019

AACD Continuum workshop, “Seamlessly Replacing a Missing Tooth in the Esthetic Zone”, will be held on Oct 24 - 25, 2019, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day at Ivoclar Vivadent, Inc., in Amherst, NY. Participants will earn 16 CE credits as they learn hands-on with AACD President and Accredited Fellow, Elizabeth Bakeman, DDS, FAACD.

Restorative dentists typically feel more comfortable with the prosthetic elements of tooth replacement but remain hesitant to manipulate the tissue elements. In order to achieve optimized results when replacing missing teeth with a fixed bridge or implant-supported crown, soft tissue alteration via surgery or scaffolding is often necessary. By learning to manage the periodontal/restorative interface, dentists and technicians can predictably move the dentistry they provide from acceptable to exceptional. This course will forever change the way participants approach replacing missing teeth, increase predictability, and lower stress.

Learning Objectives:

• Understand the importance of properly evaluating and managing tissue architecture when replacing a missing tooth in the esthetic zone.

• Learn why achieving ideal results is closely dependent on case selection.

• Learn the pros and cons of tooth replacement with an implant versus a bridge.

• Understand when and how to manage symmetry with restorative enhancement.

Patients continue to place strong emphasis on esthetics when evaluating outcomes, even when faced with the challenging task of replacing a missing tooth in the esthetic zone. This course will help participants meet and exceed their patients’ demands for optimal results.

This course has a fee of $ $3,245 with early bird discounts available. Learn more at www.aacd.com/continuum#Bakeman.

Do more cosmetic cases with confidence in the AACD Continuum series. Participants learn from top Academy educators on topics that have a direct influence on enhancing their clinical performance so that they can offer their patients better and more predictable results or get support in reaching their AACD Accreditation goal. In partnership with some of the industry’s leading manufacturers, the AACD Con•tin•u•um will give attendees a chance to explore new materials and methodologies.

Con•tin•u•um sessions will reward attendees with new skills, techniques, and confidence they can take to the bank. Because of the intensive hands-on workshop environment and the low student:instructor ratio, space at each AACD Con•tin•u•um session is extremely limited.

To learn more about the AACD Con•tin•u•um series, visit www.AACD.com/continuum

About the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry®:
