Welcome to IDT Weekly! I’m Jason Mazda, and here’s what’s new. The global dental laboratories market size is predicted to reach $43.5 billion by 2028, growing at a compound annual growth rate of 5.5%. That’s according to a report from ResearchAndMarkets.com. The growth is attributed to increasing cosmetic dental procedures, the geriatric population, and awareness regarding oral hygiene, among other factors. Carequest Institute for Oral Health and the American Institute of Dental Public Health issued strategic recommendations to improve veteran oral health, highlighting a worrying gap in care and access. The numbers in this white paper are striking, and a need for restorative treatments is among the most important topics. You can download the white paper at Carequest.org. This month in IDT, we have a TechEdge Showcase featuring 3D printable materials. A total of 18 companies are represented in the showcase. As this market continues to grow and evolve, it’s so important to remain up to date on what’s available, and we’re committed to helping you do that. Online this month, we have a free ebook on resins titled “Flexibility for the Future.” As materials continue to evolve both on the milling and 3D printing side, manufacturers are developing some really impactful new formulations to help you serve your dentists and their patients as well as possible. Download this ebook for free at insidedentaltech.com under the Webinars tab. Or, for that and other links mentioned in this episode, see the description below. Well, that’s it for this week. Thank you, as always, for making IDT your source for the latest in dental laboratory technology.
