Essential for Growth and Success
Daniel Vasquez, DDS, on the Dentsply Sirona Primescan
I run a general dentistry practice in the city of Oceanside in San Diego County, California. In 2008, everything changed for me when I acquired my first CEREC system, the CEREC 3 Redcam, and became a digital dentistry dentist. I focused my practice on esthetic and digital dentistry, and my passion for digital dentistry led me to become a key opinion leader and product tester for Dentsply Sirona. I've had the honor of lecturing to and mentoring CEREC dentists in the United States as well as internationally. I've also had the great opportunity of speaking at Dentsply Sirona World in both Las Vegas, Nevada, and Orlando, Florida. Being a part of this family who uses CEREC and Primescan technology, I have met many dentists and have made friends for life. I ordered the CEREC Primescan after seeing its 2019 launch in Frankfurt, Germany, and was immediately impressed with its features.
1. With Primescan's seamless, validated, and open data transfer options, laboratories and other partners receive high-resolution models in an instant, and users benefit from the freedom of being able to choose the best workflows for their offices and patients. 2. Every clinical staff member can be trained to use Primescan. The simple scan procedure, which doesn't require the camera to be tilted, allows users to capture more tooth surfaces faster and without interruption, making digital impression taking easy. 3. With the efficiency gained by Primescan's simplified workflow, users are able to treat more patients when compared with taking traditional impressions. Patients also benefit because the process is much more comfortable.
How is Primescan's accuracy?
The accuracy is incredible and reason enough for us to become a vinyl polysiloxane- and alginate-free dental office.
How has it helped laboratory workflow?
Thanks to the Connect Case Center portal feature in Primescan, the communication with our laboratories is seamless.
Is it fast?
Because the dynamic lens completes 10 movements per second, enabling the capture of full arch scans in 2 minutes, it allows me to be extremely efficient.
