BruxZir® NOW Milling Blocks
Prep, mill, and cement BruxZir crowns in just one appointment
For the first time ever, clinicians are able to deliver high-strength, authentic BruxZir® Solid Zirconia restorations in a single appointment. BruxZir NOW milling blocks produce restorations that can be designed and fabricated in-office, and are available in 14 shades that correspond to the VITA® classical shade system. Crowns created through this end-to-end digital workflow exhibit flexural strengths of greater than 1,100 MPa, without the need for sintering, staining, or glazing.
BruxZir NOW milling blocks are sold in packs that include three blocks and three zirconia-optimized milling burs. They are compatible with the TS150™ Chairside Milling Solution (IOS Technologies, www.ios3d.com ), which promotes excellent marginal integrity and fit of the final restoration through its utilization of a powerful, air-driven, 150,000-rpm spindle and a patent-pending orbital milling strategy.
To further validate the results of in-office workflows, Glidewell Laboratories has partnered with Technologies in Restoratives and Caries (TRAC) Research, the in-depth arm of Gordon J. Christensen Clinicians Report®, for a multiyear, longitudinal clinical study of BruxZir NOW restorations. The first results are expected for publication in fall 2016.
BruxZir NOW milling blocks are indicated for single-unit crowns anywhere in the mouth, though they are ideal for molar and premolar preparations. There is no faster way for practitioners to deliver genuine BruxZir Solid Zirconia crowns than via the BruxZir NOW milling block system. With no oven wait, BruxZir NOW gives clinicians the power to fabricate and seat high-strength monolithic restorations directly in their offices. As a result, the need for chairside- or lab-fabricated temporaries is eliminated with BruxZir NOW, reducing complications that can arise during that provisional stage.
