Sirona CEREC 30
A story that took 30 years to tell, but was worth the wait
Sirona, the global leader in digital dentistry, hosted a luxurious celebration in Las Vegas, Nevada from September 17 to September 19, 2015, and invited the world to join. CEREC 30, a 3-day event celebrating 30 years of CEREC technology, was held at the Venetian and Palazzo hotels on the famous Las Vegas strip. This event brought clinicians and technicians from all over the world together to learn how to differentiate their practice and improve patient outcomes.
More than 6,000 dental professionals heard the opening remarks from Jeffrey Slovin, chief executive officer of Sirona, who greeted the audience with a hearty welcome. “For me, it is all about dentistry and it’s about our 3,500 people around the globe who have an impact on dentistry every day,” said Slovin.
CEREC 30 provided a comprehensive curriculum of disciplines including digital radiography, orthodontics, and implantology. Sirona offered attendees breakout sessions, hands-on training, and featured keynote speakers on digital dentistry and CAD/CAM technology. Additionally, the tradeshow floor hosted more than 70 exhibitors displaying the latest technological advancements in the field of dentistry.
Several products were launched during CEREC 30, including five new digital solutions and software updates (CEREC SW 4.4, ORTHO SW, CEREC Guide 2, CEREC AF/AI, and PatientActivator). The company announced the launch of an exclusive digital community, SIROworld, which allows dental professionals to collaborate and improve the way they practice dentistry and use dental technologies. Sirona also unveiled two new transcendental treatment centers, TENEO and INTEGO, designed to improve the operatory experience for dentists and patients. On Friday evening, the Grammy award winning rock band, Train, entertained attendees, and the Party Like a Rock Star event was held at TAO the nightclub on Saturday night.
Wall Street also joined the celebration as many of Sirona’s executive members and management team rang the closing bell on the NASDAQ exchange.
