FluoroDose Fluoride Varnish
“Top fluoride varnish” a hit with clinicians and patients
FluoroDose, which was called “the top fluoride varnish” in a 2015 issue of The Dental Advisor,1 is a 5% sodium fluoride cavity varnish with xylitol that offers the maximum allowable fluoride dosage plus superior clinician and patient benefits. FluoroDose treats tooth sensitivity to heat, cold, and sweets when applied to exposed roots. It helps to prevent root decay in older patients who experience difficulty in cleaning their teeth by occluding dentin tubules. Each varnish application should be repeated at 3-month intervals for high-risk children and at 6-month intervals for children who are not at high risk.
