Visalys® Temp Provisional Resin Restorative

The stability and esthetics of provisional solutions are top priorities for both patient and dentist because it is important to preserve the patient’s dental health and appearance during the 1- to 4-week period needed by the dental laboratory to fabricate a permanent bridge or crown.
Meeting this need now is Kettenbach’s Visalys® Temp, a new provisional resin restorative that offers superior strength and beauty with improved finishing and polishing characteristics. This two-component, bisphenol A-free resin, which is based on a multifunctional acrylic composite, can be used to make highly esthetic temporary crowns, partial crowns, bridges, inlays, onlays, and veneers, including long-span provisionals.
Due to its unique, new monomer structure, higher strength Visalys Temp provisional restorations are remarkably stable and fracture resistant, according to the six main parameters used to define the stability and fracture resistance of a crown and bridge material: bending strength, impact strength, diametral tensile strength, elastic modulus, fatigue factor, and Barcol hardness.
Scientific studies at the University of Erlangen, as well as extensive clinical practice tests, prove that Visalys Temp has excellent mechanical properties in comparison with leading competitor products. In addition, in an independent in vivo market study, 30 dentists currently using competitors’ products rated provisional restorations made of Visalys Temp as being clearly more break-resistant than other widely known brands.
Beyond its stability and fracture resistance, Visalys Temp is easy-to-use and guarantees superior esthetic results. The product assures that most esthetic considerations will be met with the six shades available: A1, A2, A3, A3.5, B1, and BL (bleach). The smooth surface ensures a pleasant feeling in the mouth and impedes plaque formation. Visalys Temp can be precisely milled and minimizes dust formation. Its natural fluorescence and translucency are optimal for restorations of front teeth. Visalys Temp also contains no bisphenol A, a substance suspected of impairing health.
