Vatech Delivers Digital Needs
Company is dedicated solely to innovative digital x-ray imaging technologies that aid clinicians and their patients.
Vatech offers the most diverse product portfolio, including cone beam computed tomography (CBCT), panoramic imaging, cephalometric, and intraoral sensors. In addition, Vatech develops and manufactures its own digital radiographic sensors, the most critical component of diagnostic x-ray systems.
Vatech was established in early 1992 in South Korea as an industrial equipment manufacturer. In 2005, Vatech developed the world’s first 3-in-1 dental digital radiography unit allowing CBCT, panoramic, and cephalometric functions to be used in one platform.
To minimize the potential biological risks associated with radiation, Vatech has designed products that have a flexible field of view (FOV) allowing the user to select the smallest area of interest when delivering radiation to acquire an x-ray image. With FOVs as small as 5 cm × 5 cm, users can significantly limit the amount of radiation they expose their patients to compared with other products that have a larger, fixed field of view.
PaX-Reve3D
The PaX-Reve3D is a 3-in-1 CBCT, cephalometric, and panoramic X-ray unit (Figure 1). It is the first dental CT unit that realizes the free FOV function offering a customizable FOV from 5 cm × 5 cm to 15 cm × 15 cm, which extends the areas of diagnosis. Specific regions within the FOV are selectable based on the need or purpose of diagnosis. The PaX-Reve3D has the smallest voxel size, low x-ray dosage, Metal Artifact Remove (MAR) technology, a < 1 minute reconstruction time, and a FPXD sensor developed by Samsung.
PaX-Duo3D
The PaX-Duo3D CBCT features auto-switching technology to allow alternating between panoramic and CT sensors, without having to manually move the sensor (Figure 2). The PaX-Duo3D allows for the most advanced 3-dimensional scan for patients, but can quickly rotate for a 2-dimensional scan. A dedicated sensor for each system provides superior image quality for an effective patient treatment plan and diagnosis through 3-D cross-sectional, canal, and implant simulation. The PaX-Duo3D also features a special scanning mode for scanning incisors, the mandibular canal, and maxillary molars. The scanner features a liquid crystal display (LCD) window for patient guidance as well as an embedded camera for patient positioning. PaX-Duo3D provides four multi-FOV sizes: 5 cm × 5 cm, 8.5 cm × 5 cm, 8.5 cm × 8.5 cm, 12 cm × 8.5 cm, and an optional 15 cm × 13.5 cm. Diagnosis and treatment are completed more efficiently by having the option to chose a FOV size for a specific region of interest. Each capture mode of PaX-Duo3D obtains an optimized image of the region of interest with minimum radiographic exposure.
PaX-Primo
The PaX-Primo is a state-of-the-art, all-in-one panoramic unit (Figure 3). It is small and compact with a manageable footprint, and it is designed to fit in the standard X-ray room. A built-in 10.4-inch LCD touch panel with USB interface and SD memory card allows images to be saved to external data sources and transferred to a remote computer. A built-in Ethernet port allows for easy network integration. Side loading of the patient allows for a direct frontal view making positioning easy and accurate. Featuring bite wing, temporomandibular joint, and sinus modes, this versatile machine is on the leading edge of technology. Competitive pricing makes the PaX-Primo the most practical choice for the cost-conscious practitioner.
PaX-Flex
The PaX-Flex is a highly versatile x-ray system, meeting the demanding digital radiographic needs of the modern dental professional. The PaX-Flex is a single platform system capable of possessing multiple modalities, which can be customized and upgraded before and after the initial purchase. Equipped with technologically advanced CMOS digital sensors, panoramic x-ray images are captured in approximately 9 seconds with quality equal to digital photography. The PaX-Flex features auto-focus technology to produce optimal digital diagnostic images using Vatech’s proprietary Adaptive Layer Mode Panoramic Tomography solution. Auto-focus technology enables an automatic optimization of radiographic images by compensating for incorrect positioning and abnormal patient arches, which would normally produce an unfocused and unclear radiographic image. CBCT expands clinicians’ diagnostic ability by allowing them to view 3D radiographs in a range of fields of view. With a 0.12 voxel size and 0.5 focal spot, images will be clear and easy to interpret.
