Tetric EvoCeram Earns Top Scores from DentistsIn a recent survey of more than 700 dentists in the United States and Canada, Tetric EvoCeram—Ivoclar Vivadent’s nano-optimized universal composite—was awarded an average rating of 4 out of 5 for every criteria evaluated. Of dentists surveyed, 94% of respondents said they would recommend the product to other dentists. Samples of Tetric EvoCeram universal composite were mailed to dentists, along with an evaluation card to rate multiple categories. These included handling properties, consistency of anterior restorations, consistency of posterior restorations, sculpting and modeling properties, finishing and polishing times, final gloss, and shade matching. “We provide composites to satisfy all types of dentist demands,” says Dr. Michael A. According to CEO Karen Mitchell, a major concern in the search for the new facility was that it be large enough to accommodate the company’s growing needs, yet close enough to the old location that employees could easily make the commute. “One important objective was to keep 100% of our people.” The new headquarters, which is approximately twice as large, is just 15 minutes from the old office. Parkell was founded in Long Island City in 1948 by the late Alex Mitchell. It relocated to Farmingdale 2 decades later. Roughly 5 years ago, it added a 10,000-square-foot warehouse plus a dental office for in-house clinical testing. Patterson Dental Supports Planmeca ProductsPatterson Dental has announced that its Effingham, Illinois-based Patterson Technology Center now supports the entire line of Planmeca Digital X-ray products, including Planmeca’s digital imaging software, intraoral sensors, and panoramic and cephalometric X-rays. Patterson offers this new support plan for customers who have purchased their Planmeca digital imaging products from Patterson. Customers who use Planmeca products integrated with Patterson EagleSoft or with Planmeca’s proprietary Dimaxis® software will benefit from the ability to call one phone number for both software and digital X-ray support.
