Gary Alex, DDS, attended Penn State University where he graduated with a degree in biology in 1977. He then took advanced level graduate courses in both chemistry and biology before working at Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia. He then attended Tufts University Dental School where he earned his DMD in 1981. He has taken thousands of hours of continuing dental education over the last 35 years with an emphasis on occlusion, adhesion, comprehensive dentistry, materials, and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Alex is an accredited member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and past president of the AACD New York Chapter. Dr. Alex teaches dentists world-wide and is involved with a number of continuing education programs. Dr. Alex is also on the editorial advisory board of, and has had a number of articles published in, the highly respected peer-reviewed publications “Inside Dentistry” and “Compendium,” among others. He regularly conducts hands-on programs and lectures on adhesion, porcelain veneers, direct and indirect restorations, materials, and occlusion. He has taught at numerous dental schools and at major dental meetings where his courses are continually among the top-rated programs.
