Penn Dental Medicine’s Center for Integrative Global Oral Health (CIGOH) is collaborating with Fundación ADM, Institución de Asistencia Privada to present the Global Oral Health Forum 2023, taking place March 30-31 in Merida, Mexico. The main goal of this two-day gathering is to encourage and facilitate a dialogue between major stakeholders in the global oral health community.
“The oral health community needs to speak with a unified voice,” says Dr. Michael Glick, Executive Director of CIGOH. “With a focus on equity and disability, the invited speakers and panelists will be asked to challenge the status quo and suggest how to move forward to break the silos within the oral health community.”
An international group of leaders in oral health has been invited to the forum. The program will feature two sessions on day one -- the first focusing on the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals and Universal Health Coverage, followed by session on equity and disabilities. Day two will include sessions on research and education, public health initiatives and workforce, and coming together. Each session will include short presentations followed by more extended panel discussions.
The Forum will be held at the Centro Internacional De Congresos De Yucatan in Merida with attendees able to earn 12 continuing education credits.
