A total of 39 companies from the German dental industry will present themselves in the German Pavilion at the Greater New York Dental Meeting (GNYDM) from November 27 to 30, 2016. This will be the biggest presentation ever made by the German dental industry at a sector trade
fair in the USA. The showcase, which is titled “Dental Technology from Germany,” will occupy a total area of about 850 square meters. A major highlight will be a special show designed to look like a futuristic research station, which will give visitors insights into cutting-edge laboratory technology and practice. At this interactive Science Lab, visitors can find out about the latest results from the fields of product development and scientific research, as well as dental medicine and dental technology.
The Science Lab’s transparent and media-animated facade will already offer insights into the research station to visitors standing outside. Before the visitors enter, they will receive boarding passes at the check-in counter. As they walk through the Science Lab, they can stop at
numerous stations that provide information about the individual steps of a process chain that includes tooth conservation, dental prosthesis, and computerized lab work (CAD/CAM). Visitors will be able to interactively use a variety of exhibits that will be presented by representatives of the respective dental equipment companies.
“We’re very happy about the tremendous involvement of German companies in the GNYDM,” says Dr. Markus Heibach, the Managing Director of the Association of German Dental Manufacturers (VDDI). The VDDI supports the worldwide activities of German companies in the dental sector. In 2016 it will celebrate its 100th anniversary. At the showcase in New York, it aims to highlight the many years of reliable cooperation and successful partnership between German and American companies in the healthcare market.
The anniversary will be celebrated at a reception at the Lighthouse on Chelsea Pier on November 28, 2016, hosted by Uwe Beckmeyer, the Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, and the German Consul General Brita Wagener. Both Beckmeyer and Wagener are looking forward to lively and intense discussions with guests and exhibitors.
The joint presentation “Dental Technology from Germany @ GNYDM 2016” will be supported by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) in cooperation with the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry (AUMA) and the German-American Chamber of Commerce in New York. As in previous years, the German Pavilion will be organized by Koelnmesse.
