Nothing Else Like It for Dentures

ROE Dental Laboratory is among the most progressive and successful dental laboratories in the country, so IDT turned to ROE President BJ Kowalski, CDT, to evaluate Dentsply Sirona's Lucitone Digital Print Denture workflow.

Kowalski says approximately 40% of his laboratory's denture production is digital, and that percentage continues to grow. "As printed materials go—and we work with several—Lucitone Digital Print is definitely best in class," Kowalski says. "There is nothing else like it from a strength perspective or an esthetics perspective." Among hundreds of cases, Kowalski says he cannot remember a single instance of debonding with Lucitone Digital Print. LDP also helps Kowalski scale his laboratory, not just via high-volume printing—he says Carbon printers can produce nine dentures simultaneously—but also by eliminating some of the challenges involved with denture setups, which makes training employees on that step easier. "Lucitone Digital Print has really carved us a much clearer path forward with moving our denture process into a digital world," Kowalski says.
