JENNIFER GEISELHOFER, RDH

Jennifer Geiselhofer, RDH, spent almost two decades working for private practices, but she always wanted to do more. In 2015, she started a portable dental service called Dental at Your Door. She and her team use state-of-the-art portable dental equipment to provide professional dental cleanings at approximately 30 homeless shelters, work release programs, residential substance abuse centers, correctional facilities, assisted living facilities, and private home visits in the Denver, Colorado area.

The Dental at Your Door team includes four part-time dental hygienists: Andrea Viger, RDH; Kristin Blair, RDH; Raquel Maclin, RDH; and Candace Owen, RDH. The team also includes full-time dental assistant Sonshyne Clark as well as part-time assistants Kayla Wahoviak and Jose Nevarez.

Last year, Geiselhofer started a nonprofit, Deserving Dental Org, to provide free care to the homeless population that does not qualify for state assistance. To donate, go to deservingdental.org.
