Zimmer® Instrument Kit System Showcases Intuitive Design
The new Zimmer® Instrument Kit System for Zimmer’s renowned Tapered Screw-Vent® Implant System is a new and improved product line that features several configurations to meet individual practice needs. An intuitive instrument flow with a simple color-coding system allows dentists to perform any surgical sequence, step by step (Figure 1).
Step-By-Step and Without the Guesswork
A surgical sequence is represented by horizontal, colored bars on the kit surface, and each color indicates a different implant diameter (Figure 2). For example, surgical drills required for placement of the 3.7-mm diameter Tapered Screw-Vent implant are represented by green bars (Figure 3), strategically organized from left to right to promote optimum clinical use. The color-coding also allows the dentist to identify the drill options for soft or dense bone protocols easily (Figure 4 and Figure 5) A dotted color bar denotes a final soft-bone drill, while the subsequent solid color bar denotes a final dense-bone drill.
Each instrument kit is accompanied by a handy Reference Guide, with kit layout and surgical sequences to give dentists additional step-by-step guidance.
One System, Several Custom Configurations
All individual needs and surgical styles are met with one customizable kit. The Tapered Screw-Vent Surgical Kit easily can be combined with an optional Zimmer One-Piece Module to allow for placement of all implants in the Tapered Screw-Vent Implant System, thereby creating a truly centralized, all-in-one kit.
Most instrument kit configurations are accompanied by a unique Staging Block, which enables clinicians to store a subset of instruments needed for a procedure within close reach. The Staging Block accommodates eight drills, two instruments, and three implant vials. In addition, the product features two measuring devices on the block surface for implant and drill length verification.
