DS Core: Solutions for Seamless Workflows in Digital Dentistry

Although dentistry often encompasses complex and difficult cases, Michael Whyte, DDS, says that with DS Core from Dentsply Sirona the solutions are much less complicated.

After graduating from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry in 2013 and working for a year as an associate dentist, Whyte purchased a practice in Richmond and began "a multiyear transformation from legacy workflows to modern digital workflows"-with the aid of Dentsply Sirona.

Whyte says his practice has been using Primescan and Primemill for nearly 5 years, not­ing that they deliver fast, quality restorations in a simple fashion. "They are the foundation of our technology ecosystem. The initial learning curve was quick, and we had wonderful support from Dentsply Sirona. Now with the introduction of DS Core and Primeprint, the landscape of digital dentistry has forever changed. Our office was one of the first to deploy the Primeprint Solution with DS Core last year," he boasts.

Whyte's practice offers a variety of dental services ranging from implants, cosmetic dentistry, and CEREC^® same-day crowns to clear aligners. Integration of digital technologies has streamlined every area of clinic care, he suggests. "Orthodontics, advanced cosmetics, guided implant surgeries, patient communication, and case coordination with specialists and labs have all been simplified."
