Diagnosis and Management of Oral Allergy Syndrome, the Itchy Tongue Allergy Reaction
Oral allergy syndrome (OAS) is a relatively common condition associated with seasonal allergic rhinitis and has oral pruritus of oral mucosa as its primary symptom. Because this ailment affects primarily the oral cavity, patients often consult with their dentist for treatment. This article describes the diagnosis and management of OAS, citing five cases of patients who were diagnosed with the problem.

Intraoral Air Abrasion
Intraoral air abrasion is a technique in which abrasive particles are used to remove or alter tooth structure. Aluminum oxide, the most common and abrasive type of air-abrasion medium, is utilized to roughen or remove tooth structure, while less abrasive particles are used for cleaning tooth surfaces. This article identifies the armamentarium used for intraoral air abrasion and discusses its clinical applications in restorative dentistry, along with its advantages and disadvantages.
