Digital Dentures: By the Numbers

Based on laboratory statistics, the adoption rate of digital dentures has been rapid in the past year. More laboratories are using digital processes for their removables, and still more count that among their growth goals for the future.

30.2% of US laboratories said they used digital techniques (scan/design) for at least some of their dentures in 2018, up from 21% in 2016.

Last year's IDDS attendees were 36% dentists, 36% laboratory technicians, and 28% denturists and others.^*

18.6% of US laboratories said at least some of their full dentures were digitally manufactured in 2018, up from 14.6% in 2017.

51% of laboratories in an IDT survey said their growth goals for 2019 included digital dentures.
